1 semester isn't enough (reflection for purposive communication)
Just like what others say, we still learn every single day and I bet you that being a student under the course of Purposive Communication have made me into a better version of myself. It isn't something that is exagerrating but I can proudly say that I've learned so much with this subject and I realized things more that I could've ever imagined.
I remember in the first days how our instructor would constantly say that his class is a safe space. We can make mistake and no one will judge... you won't feel embarrass and I really did felt safe around his class. Just like in our practive impromptu speech, despite some of my classmates getting troubled by constructing a statement, it was still okay as he understands us. That no one is perfect and we all have our weaknesses... that maybe, public speaking isn't somethig that everyone can be good with. As long as you tried, you are appreciated. Thankfully, I learned to adapt that kind of mindset and I believe that my classmates are starting too. It is a good sign that we are learning not just what is written on the book or whar is presented on a big screen but we learn how to reflect on every actions that every student... even our teachers take.
However, I realized that it is not just the subject that was behind our new development. A big part that was helping us to grow even better is our instructor. So, I highly appreciate him for making the subject impressingly fun. It was one of my favourite... I won't forget this course.
I hope that even if the semester is about to end, the learnings that I have received would remain. All thanks to PCom, I learned to be okay with having some failures. After, we are all just humans who make mistake once in a while. Yes, one semester with this class isn't enough as I am still enjoying but we have to let go of something to have something new... again.
